I contend this. Trump has a lower ceiling than presidents like Obama, Bush, or Clinton but he has a higher ceiling since his core supporters will support him no matter what.

Yeah, this. Trump’s “Strong Disapproval” rating is very high, >50% in some polls, and there’s not really anything HE could do* to change those minds, in much the same way that the 35% floor is unbreakable.

*Any other President could probably change that, but not Trump. It’s not within his capability.
