re: #202 Jay C
What I find somewhat puzzling* is that no one (in media or government, that is) ever challenges this twitter-barrage of Trumpshit with what I think is the most obvious rejoinder: i.e., Donald Trump rarely, if ever, tells the truth in public, what should all these self-serving protestations of COMPLETE EXONERATION!!1!!11! be given any more credibility than anything else he spouts off about (i.e. none)?
Trump’s general level of credibility is - outside of his obsessive and deluded “base” - lower than any other President I can recall: except maybe Vietnam-era LBJ. I think the public ought to be reminded of this. Loudly and frequently.
*Not really, but the answer is pretty depressing.
What I find amazing is he’s so obviously uninterested in being President for all Americans. He legit views half of us as his enemies. And that’s not a vibe I got from the Bush administration. Yeah they were very dismissive towards critics but I don’t think W viewed us as adversaries.
