I don’t know why people use things like tweetdeck.

I haven’t tried Tweetdeck yet, but according to Charles, it has a global filter function that lets you block obnoxious stalker/troll types so you never see anything from them ever again. I don’t think Twitter alone offers an equivalent function (only the ability to block people from following you)
