I own like 1 Bitcoin total. There’s no way I’d sock away more than a couple hundred bucks in bitcoins, given the massive failures among the Bitcin exchanges. I feel sorry in some ways for those poor fools who dropped thousands of dollars on trading Bitcoins and left those funds in the hands of the exchanges like Bitstamp. They’re not banks, or stock brokers, with insurance and tons of safeguards developed over decades.

But, I have to say, using the Bitcoin system to transfer money from China to the States saves me money — if I time it when Bitcoin values aren’t dropping like rocks.
