Indulging in pleasant fantasies of how big of a landslide victory Clinton could win. As of last night, Nate Silver’s nowcast had increased Clinton’s odds of winning an election today to over 88%, making her the favorite in all the states Obama won, plus N.C., which would put her at 347-191. Az and Ga are now virtual toss-ups, putting another 27 electoral votes in play. Clinton is also within striking distance in Mo and SC, another 19 electoral votes. That makes for a potential 393-145 E.V. blowout, maybe even worse if the Trump campaign continues to be even half as bad as its been the last week.

As much as I would love to see a monumental blowout that totally shuts down any claims that “the election was rigged”, one should never underestimate the power of the press to influence voters.

And any sort of natural and/or man-made disaster that sees law enforcement and basic services disrupted over a wide area or for a large population (especially a terrorist attack) would play right into DT’s hands…

We are not out of the woods yet.
