I think you guitar players might agree (with a nod to a little artistic circular logic) how our gear shapes our style and skillset. Using a good Sony instead of my Canon has upset my game. No, the player makes the style, not the gear per se, the gear won’t fix what’s wrong with us. But it enables us as we catch up.

No doubt. Every once in awhile I start surfing sites to find out about the latest pedals and drool. Then I realize that I really just need to work on my playing. No pedal is going to make me better.
