Oh, he gets it - the white “working class” voters that he has only ever concentrated on think guns are only good so he will never be against guns. Vermont being nearly completely white and gun happy is the perfect exemplar to what he panders to. If that pisses off the young and destroys his chances for the presidency, well, he’ll keep his job stealing a paycheck for sitting in the senate accomplishing nothing and keeping he NRA happy with Vermont.
