A President who is golfing while our largest embassy is under siege and whining on Twitter.

Not the same thing, obviously, but I’m reminded of the complete cluster that was the building of that embassy and all the crap around it, summed up in the book “Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq’s Green Zone.” The title alone just spells out what a disaster the whole program was, and that book was published in 2007.
