re: #200 Chrysicat

Just understand that unless we’re arming ourselves to openly rebel against the R king to be enthroned in 2025, there’s very little point to defeating Trump with Bernie. He’ll be lucky if a Patty Murray- controlled Senate, let alone one where McTurtle still presides, confirms his judges, and he’s not likely to even push for expanding SCOTUS, which has made it very clear that until we do get rid of two injustices, they’ll declare any law the Federalist Society doesn’t like, to be unconstitutional and unenforceable, with a particular focus on supremacy of individuals’ religious belief over any secular law.

In the best case, the Senate willingly confirms any judges he gives them, but still doesn’t pass his medical insurance requirement exactly as he’s written it, which he’s pretty clear is the only way he’ll sign it.

In the worst case, he tries to put it into force as a decree anyway, and I start hoping that people fear being primaried by people who want to strip red from the Republican party less than their red counterparts fear being primaried by Trump’s flying monkeys.

Even the best case is probably a one-term caretaker government that has a hard time releasing the concentration-camp prisoners, but thankfully refuses to actively fund the wall. But once again, note that “one-term” part.

And note that it’s impossible to win in the Repub party by being left of the royalist position, so you’ll get another one after Bernie, unless we can outlaw the whole damned party.

2024 is another 4 years of old white GOP voters dying and being replaced by younger, more diverse voters. IOW, it just keeps getting harder for fascists to win.
