In Erie, PA we found a store that had increased its price on a single can of Lysol to $7.55.
There was also a grocery store that was selling a bottle of Purell for $9.99 — that’s double what it should’ve been selling for.— AG Josh Shapiro (@PAAttorneyGen) March 24, 2020
Toilet paper. Seems like most people can’t find it these days, but we found some that were being sold for outrageous prices.
At a drug store chain in Allegheny County a 12-roll pack was going for $21.
In Butler County you got less for more — a 10 roll pack would cost you $22.— AG Josh Shapiro (@PAAttorneyGen) March 24, 2020
Here’s the good news: thanks to your tips, we found these people. And we’re taking action to put a stop to their unlawful behavior.
So keep sending those tips in. Remember to include: store, store location, product name, and $ in your email to pricegouging@attorneygeneral.gov— AG Josh Shapiro (@PAAttorneyGen) March 24, 2020
