It isn’t real. At all.

Mr. Hallahan:

Thank you for informing The United States Playing Card Company of this post. I want to first emphatically deny that our regular Bicycle Rider
Back playing cards are marked in any way. Bicycle is America’s favorite brand of playing cards for a reason: Americans have grown to trust the consistent quality of the cards, which are made here in the USA with the unique, proprietary paper and printing processes we have been using since the 1880’s.

I should also note, however, that Bicycle is also the preferred brand of magicians, who often mark our cards to perform tricks. I must assume that the “marked” deck in question was marked by a magician after it was produced here. As one of the posts mentions, magic shops sell double backed and other “tricked out” versions of Bicycle that they create, but I again must emphatically state that the backs on all 52 cards in a Bicycle Rider Back deck sold at retail are all identical, and none are “marked” or differentiated in any way.

Thank you for contacting us on this issue, and I hope this is helpful.
