re: #166 lawhawk
Felafel is an acquired taste, but when it’s done right it’s soul/comfort food.
Fried to perfection, a bit of tahina, lettuce, cucumber, tomato (can be done as Israeli salad), and then schug/harissa (hot sauce) on a warmed pita.
Almost a falafel, but you get the idea.
Pictured sandwich is not all falafel. One, and a nice round latke. The place in Philly also does a sandwich the same size with three falafel in it. Warmed pita, spoonful of hummus, harissa (if requested), cucumber, shredded cabbage, and a squirt of tahina into it as well.
