I haven’t had cable for 3 years, and here in my part of NW Iowa you can’t pick up jack shit on an aerial. I watch everything via various websites on the net…I haven’t done the torrent thing in years, though. Too chickenshit.
In the last seven years I’ve had Frontier, then Mediacom, then Rise broadband for internet, and all have sucked here. There was an 8 month period where I couldn’t afford internet of any kind. Straight Talk recently changed their $55 monthly tier to true unlimited, so I found an 8 dollar thingy that I plug into my tower and now I have unlimited wifi from my $30 phone, and I am happy. It’s not lightning speeds, but it’s also not dial up slow.
