Trump made it explicit back in 2017 that he wouldn’t consider any election valid if he didn’t win.

He’s a fucking fascist. The only election he and the GOP now consider valid are the ones they win. Everyone who votes against them is considered illegitimate.

It’s part of their long term strategy - which is to deny persons of color their rights, particularly to vote. By doing so, the GOP would deny Democrats’ their core voting bloc. That would wreck the Democrats and their national ambitions and allow the GOP to retain power indefinitely despite truly being a minority party that hasn’t won a national popular vote in years.
