Yesterday I wrote that there must be more to this story, and I still believe that. Not that the anti-muslim element isn’t there, but the planned break-in (through the rear) implies something pre-mediated, along of course with the note which shows that the perp had most likely written ahead of time. Makes me all believe there is some sort of stalking going on here.

My thought too. I think we should be careful about jumping to conclusions until we know who the killer was. The note could indicate a hate crime, but could also be a red herring left by the killer to try and throw police off his scent.
