Almost, but this would be more like:

X has property P.
Y has property P.
X also has property Q.
Therefore, Y has property Q.

There are two ways of looking at this. The first, is when the person A points out that X has property Q generalizes to Y. The second is when person B who hears person A say that X has property Q implies that Person Y also has it. It’s the second version I’m interested in.
