The Republican Party needs to face up to the fact that politics as usual is no longer an option. The GOP has compromised with and appeased the other side too many time. It has strengthened the other side and harmed us.

It the Wiemar Republic this behavior was called cattle trading, we call it bipartisanship. And like the Germans we are now facing the rise of a totalitarian political cult with its own divinely appointed leader.

If the GOP doesn’t clean up its act then we have no choice but to start a new party.

Wasn’t there a Reichstag fire or something?
