“in-person, absentee voting”. How is that different from regular in person voting?

You used to need an excuse (of which there were limited valid excuses) to cast an absentee ballot, but they opened that up to all this year, essentially giving us “early voting” without explicitly calling it that.

I filled out an absentee ballot at the polling place, and instead of having to mail it in, I gave it to the clerk and it gets stored with all of the rest of the absentee ballots (mailed or otherwise) until election day.
