Since Ford trucks and SUVs cost more than my house, I guess I won’t be buying one of those when I need a new vehicle. We’ll just keep driving our Smart (which is approaching five years in age and 60,000 miles). It gets 50+ miles per gallon anyway and has plenty enough room for us. (Smart discontinued selling gasoline operated cars in the USA in 2017, essentially cutting themselves out of the rural market.)

more odd overlaps, hammer dulcimers, proofreading, eastern european heritage: my ex-wife drove a smart until she totaled it spinning out on a snowy road and slamming into a retaining wall. fortunately there was no oncoming traffic.
but the safety cell was deformed so we had to write it off.
our daughter called it the “little zippy car”
