I’m on my last nerve with people playing one-upmanship games like “this didn’t just start, why are you surprised?”

They’re trying to prove how clever they are, and they just come off as assholes.

Well, we can post back what we said after Ferguson, or Eric Garner, or any of the other hundreds of incidents where an unarmed black man was killed by cops. Or brandishing a toy gun in an open carry state. Or brandishing a bb gun in an open carry state.

All while the right wing couch commandos are able to sling their AR-15s, storm state capitol buildings and send legislators and governors scrambling for safety without anyone arresting anyone. Cops show a shit-ton of restraint there, but a black guy already on the ground and handcuffed has to be murdered and the refrain will be “I feared for my life”.

Qualified immunity has got to go. That odious doctrine underpins some of this too. As does politicians who refuse to hold cops accountable for crimes - that too is law and order.

Trump is exhibit A of lawlessness. He is the opposite.
