Seriously: it is painfully fucking stupid that somebody with an MD is conflating the arc of parasympathetic stress caused in a frightening, painful, traumatic situation with the effects of chronic stress.

It’s the maraschino cherry atop the all the other layered forms of fucking stupid involved in this ongoing fiasco.

It’s not simply the MD, it’s that it’s an MD who’s also a Congress critter. These are the people we’re electing to represent us. No wonder the rest of the world thinks we’re out of our fucking minds.
