There’s talk of reform that would allow private investment, but that that’s not getting rid of Social Security. Its allowing people to get higher returns for the money they put in, higher returns the system ultimately needs to survive.

And such reforms can and should include safeguards to keep people who do not understand high finance away from financial instruments they will not understand.
