Yes, we were all embryos once. But not every embryo makes it. In fact, the vast majority do not. How one squares that with a belief that every embryo is a unique and individual person from the moment of conception, I have no clue.

In fact, more than half of all fertilized eggs abort before birth, without any human help at all. I call those God’s abortions.
