There are some communities with significant Muslim populations. Here, in the NYC metro area, there’s Paterson and Jersey City in NJ that are most notable (people tend to congregate and live with their own communities since it’s easier to find prayer groups, food, social interactions, etc.). In Brooklyn, there’s a stretch of Atlantic Avenue near Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill that has a significant Muslim population. There’s also a significant Muslim population in Queens and Manhattan.
