re: #209 Feline Fearless Leader
I unfortunately expect that to have less impact here in Pennsylvania than expected. Despite the stateās history of ethnic diversity, especially in the western part with the various groups immigrating to work in the coal mines and steel mills, there are a lot of very conservative Catholic congregations that are racist in their core and/or are going to be single issue voters and pin the entire abortion issue on the Democratic candidate. (The last based on experience with two friends/co-workers who I am pretty sure voted Trump in 2016 justified solely by that stated reason. I have yet to ascertain whether their views regarding Trump as a candidate have changed since then.)
That sounds like my momās cousins who and some of my dadās cousins too. Ironically, my grandmotherās sister canāt stand Trump but sadly both her kids and even her grandkids like him. And yeah the abortion issue. The abortion issue is why she voted for Bush in 2004 over Kerry. IT is sad. Iām a product of Western Paās ethnic diversity. I now live in even more diverse Northern Va. As the familyās genealogist, it hurts me so much to see people who are learning a little from me about what our family went through engaging in the same nativism that was directed at our family.
