I can only imagine the lies that Republicans on Capital Hill are telling themselves behind closed doors to deal with the fallout from yesterday. Yeah, they won the other major races on the KY ballot, but Bevin was the primary target and he lost. Yeah they kept the governor’s mansion in Mississippi, but they lost Virginia for what might turn out to be a very long time. And contrary to conventional wisdom, turnout has stayed the same if not increased among Dem voters, which throws most polls that assume “average” turnouts into doubt.
