And what the heck is “double-thick plywood”? It comes in “thick” and “double thick”? What happened to inches and fractions of inches?

I was wondering that myself. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a 4 x 4 being called plywood —usually it is just called lumber. I think of plywood coming in sheets or panels… .
