No, it doesn’t. Why would using ‘their’ rhetoric (the 99%/1% wasn’t original to OWS, by the way) prove anything? Gore was using that line long ago.

I have Tea Party friends. The last thing they want to do is give due credit to Obama for hunting down and killing OBL. It was the SEALs; it was started by Bush. It’s really, really hard to prove a link like that.

That’s an entirely different situation. I’m talking about how mass changes in social attitude come about, not personal responsibility for a military action. That’s a terrible comparison.

Really, OWS for all its imperfections (and brilliance) deserves due credit for pushing this into the national conscience.

And I disagree. They certainly claimed credit. I don’t know if they deserve credit, or if they’re just the visible face of the change.

You’re not going to convince me by saying “Yes, they are!”
