Yep it really is. I am not saying all cops are bad but most of the interactions I have had with them have not been of the good variety.

Growing up the local rent-a-cops (ie off duty state cops hired by the town) almost pulled their gun on one of my friends just because we were hanging out on a street corner and he wanted to know why they were telling us to move when we didn’t do anything.

Then there was the time in Irvine I was stopped and grilled by Irvine PD for “looking like someone they were looking for”.

And there was the time with the Newport Beach PD where I was leaving work late one evening (office job) and was pulled over and had my car searched because I “looked suspicious”.
