The man’s entire appeal to the party base has been that he’s an unapologetic asshole. But beyond that, there’s really nothing of substance to him. I doubt many are going to find his time as a US Attorney appealing, and his gubernatorial record takes a nosedive after reelection, such that he can’t even count on winning NJ in the general election. And he’s waffled so many times on major issues that pinning him down would actually hurt rather than help him.
