That’s exactly what I tried telling him. His big mistake and this I attribute to his youth is treating Trump as normal. My parents and I who have been around for more Presidents know Trump isn’t normal.

Back in what are beginning to look like the good old days of the cold war, I had a serious uphill struggle to get people to realize that the Soviet Union wasn’t normal — they didn’t realize that in that sort of place, there’s no such thing as a private sector. (You don’t need to be young to make that kind of mistake, although it doesn’t hurt.)
