I got my crap to the accountant Tuesday—told him that if he can’t get the return finished in time, give me a ballpark figure and I’ll send a check and get an extension. He didn’t think that was going to be necessary. (Last year I was so late getting things organized that I just send a check on the 15th for a random amount that I thought would keep me out of trouble. It worked.)

Normally it’s not such a huge deal for me to get them done. Having to include a Sch C and Sch F is usually the most complicated part of the federal return.

This year I had to figure out how to deal with how to report all of the inheritance stuff, so it was just mostly a psychological thing of not really wanting to deal with it.
