As far as I’m concerned, you forfeit your right to talk about patriotism if you venerate that flag. Nathan Bedford Forrest among others only served the CSA and dreaded the CSA losing because they hated the Union so much. They weren’t proud Americans.

Nathan Bedford Forrest, in particular, was one of the biggest pricks of the war and its aftermath. Mr. KKK should’ve died that day at Shiloh.
