My boss’s boss DEMANDS to know when the power outages will be over.

We are a public library system, and thus have neither the knowledge, nor the control, nor much of the give-a-fuck about it.

My boss’s boss is also famous for demanding advance notice of unplanned outages.

Not long ago, the hard drive in her laptop died. Whoops, hardware failure. These things happen, right? WRONG. She demanded an explanation and a written “plan of action” describing steps we would take to “make sure this never happens again”.

I’ve worked for lots of idiots in the past, but gawt-damn this is a live one.
