Yes, please. On Kauai we had about 1.5 years of relatively few cases and lost only 2 people. In the past 5 weeks, we lost 7 more people and the rate of infection has skyrocketed. (For us. It’s a small community.)

You should feel safe here because most cases are work (not hotels) and church clusters, but take care. And we never revoked the indoor mask requirement, so be prepared for that.

We do have some Qnuts who occasionally protest, but since so many are now sick, I doubt you will encounter them.

Kauai is by far is still the safest island to visit.

A girlfriend and I have been discussing a trip to Kauai for several years now. Pre-pandemic, it was postponed because of her serious health issues, which remain ongoing. But maybe next year. My late husband and I visited Hawaii once — we saw the Big Island and Maui but never made it to Kauai. Would love to see it.
