OT: “Kindle and Kindle 2 electronic-book readers infringe on patents held by Discovery”
Discovery Communications is suing Amazon.com over its Kindle and Kindle 2 electronic-book readers because it says the devices infringe on patents held by Discovery founder John Hendricks that are related to the delivery of digital content. “The Kindle and Kindle 2 are important and popular content-delivery systems,” said Discovery general counsel Joseph LaSala Jr. “We believe they infringe [upon] our intellectual-property rights and that we are entitled to fair compensation.”
