Yes, yes and yes. Much as I like my friend who ended up being on that Carnival ship, what she’s gone through the last few days is gross, but not insurmountable. She won’t be traumatized for life by it.

I could point at thousands of people along both sides of the Mexican border who live in colonias. They deal with things like lack of running water and electricity every goddamn day. No one cares. It’s shameful.
