That sounds like my mom’s cousins who and some of my dad’s cousins too. Ironically, my grandmother’s sister can’t stand Trump but sadly both her kids and even her grandkids like him. And yeah the abortion issue. The abortion issue is why she voted for Bush in 2004 over Kerry. IT is sad. I’m a product of Western Pa’s ethnic diversity. I now live in even more diverse Northern Va. As the family’s genealogist, it hurts me so much to see people who are learning a little from me about what our family went through engaging in the same nativism that was directed at our family.

Don’t call voting for single-issues “identity politics.” That would certainly confuse them.
