On his program today, Fareed repeated his ominous warning from his September 10 Washington Post opinion: If Trump is ahead on election night, he could very well ignore any contrary results counted later and use the election night count to claim victory — and then it could be up to John Roberts to save our democracy. And I wouldn’t bet on Roberts being up to the task.

At this point, it is starting to feel like people are trying to speak this resukt into existence.
