Lack of support for individual rights really distinguishes european political thought from American political thought. You have pockets here and there in europe who get it, as we have pockets here in America of people who don’t care about individual rights, but for the most part, these are the fundamental differences in the two schools of thought. The socialists don’t support your rights, nor do the fascists. Those who might are shunned because for the most part, it’s european society that shuns this notion- perhaps due in part to anti-Americanism, the American school of thought isn’t even given enough credit to be considered worthy from which to learn anything.
