Patton was nuttier than a fruitcake. Man wanted to rearm the Nazis, turn them around, and sic ‘em on the Soviets. The man decided that there hadn’t been enough bloodshed yet and he wanted to get WWIII going while the fires of WWII were still smoldering.

He was also exactly what was needed to defeat the Nazis. Patton is a perfect example of why the civilian leadership needs to maintain tight control over the generals.
