This is such bullshit. The final bill for dealing with my aneurysm was over $400K: initial ambulance & transport to a bigger hospital, neurosurgeon, two-week hospital stay (95% of it in intensive care), and all the bazillion smaller costs associated with the hospital stay. It’s mind boggling—had I been saving all my life it wouldn’t have even come close to covering that sort of catastrophic event.

If not for the insurance provided by my employer I would have been ruined, never mind my other ongoing health issues and the hideously expensive prices I’d have to pay for medications every month. I’d most likely be dead as I wouldn’t be able to afford it.

People are going to die as a direct result of the GOP screwing around with healthcare, but they don’t care because the rich need more tax breaks. Also, brown people.
