Essentially one can predict with some confidence that people don’t change very much.

It takes a dramatic event - to change an individual, to change a society, quickly (by which I mean within a few years.)

So unless we do go into a global war of a magnitude of WWII (scaled up for population growth), it’s not unreasonable to expect economies to try and keep trudging along as they have.

Now I miss Sane Ludwig.
