I remember a Baptist girlfriend in the 8th grade (around 1970) giving me “666” by Salem Kirban. a Christian graphic novel about the Apocalypse. Even back then, I recognized that it was total crap.

Yet, there are full-grown adults in the 21st century who believe all of it to be true. Some of these adults serve in government. They could bring about an apocalypse, just not the one they anticipate.
