I have a friend, David Gerard, who has written a book about bitcoin and the blockchain, called “Attack of the 50-Foot Blockchain.” He’s been on the BBC talking about bitcoin and the blockchain.

It’s a cheap, relatively short read, and his opinion is that bitcoin is like investing in tulips or the South Sea Bubble. In fact, he told me that the book on the bitcoin mania has been written. It’s called “Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds” by Charles Mackey and was published in 1842.
