What I find interesting is that this letter was sent on October 9, but.it was only released just today - and by Trump. Did the Turks hold on to this because they just couldn’t fucking believe that the POTUS would send another head of state an idiotic screed like this, or were they waiting for another, opportune moment to embarrass him and/or us?

Perhaps Erdogan was saying, “Look, it’s already embarrassing enough. Releasing the letter would just be over the top.”
