I confuse my wife and daughters names all the time. They both end in elle. I usually cover it up by calling them by our dogs and cats names as well. My wife, in the heat of the moment, will accidentally yell at our son using the dog’s name, which always diffuses the situation.

My husband is from a large family. He has eight siblings. His dad always cycled through all the kids names when he was yelling at one of them.

We do that for our five dogs, too.

“Fred, George, Sam…SHIT!”
