Wonkette tears apart one of the “great thinkers” we’re going to have to listen to until at least 2020

“The Democratic Party used to welcome people who didn’t support abortion into the party. We are now so far from that, it’s insane.”

You know, I’m not that involved with the local Democratic committee, but when I was volunteering for Clinton’s campaign, I don’t recall even once being asked what my position on abortion is (which is probably more conservative than most of the people working on that campaign) despite identifying myself as a “recovering Republican”.

My favorite part of the Wonkette post is right after that quoted section because she points out that her own mom is pro-life despite being a longtime Democratic Party grassroots activist.
