Trump’s only successful in digging a bigger hole for himself. In theory, he could use war as a get-out-of-jail card, but he’s incapable of shooting himself in the foot with ham-handedness and sheer incompetence.

Trump just wants to destroy the world because it looks cool, regardless of the likelihood the United States would be susceptible to an actual invasion when all the major cities get bombed out… and everything he owns will be worthless. And that’s if he lives to see the hellscape he’s wrought.

I don’t think that this has entered his mind at all. Trump thinks the Presidency is a reality show and he can say anything to entertain his audience with no consequences; within 2 minutes he probably forgot his words. Please — he’s on vacation — the only thing on his mind is golfing.
