seems to be the big talk among everyone even on the left. Apparently, for all the MAGA shit there’s a lot of poking fun at the MAGA shit.

The past couple of days, more than a couple of Lizards have told me straight-up, “I’ll never watch it!”; yeah, in the show, Dan and Roseanne voted for Trump (who was unnamed in the episode) and Jackie, who intended to vote for Hillary (also unnamed in the episode) but, due to jitters and self-doubt brought on by Roseanne, voted for Jill Stein (who was named and made into a punchline).

There were maybe enough lines in the first episode to count on one hand that were overtly political; the rest of the first episode and all of the second were politics-free and were pretty much standard pre-season 9 Roseanne episodes.

Even though Roseanne is a Truther and a Trumpist IRL, people seem to forget that she was a hot mess during the show’s first run too; the thing that made the first time around so good and enjoyable wasn’t just her, but the entire cast; I’ll say that should be the yardstick this time around, too.
